Here is an example what a large solid looks like when letterpress printed. The ladies over at Chick Invitations were perfectly happy with the “salty” appearance and light impression on the back of this business card they designed. Embrace the weaknesses and you’ll forget they exist!
Printed on 50 pt. coaster stock.
happy (red nosed, bearded) holidays!

Jessa wanted a fun and cute card to send out this Christmas that would be a great way to let family and friends know about her new business. She designed these six inch square cards in red and blind (ink-less impression) in the hopes that the recipients would cut along the dotted lines and put Santa’s beard and Rudolph’s nose to use.

I think that they did!

I had the pleasure of printing holiday cards for Philadelphia’s own Die Creative. If you want to see the definition of multi talented, just take a look at their portfolio!

Pam and Tommy wanted something special to welcome baby number three (girl #1) to the family, and decided to go with a double sided (and very girly) birth announcement/ Baptism invitation.

Printed in pale gray and pink on 220# Lettra.

This bride saw the calligraphy and letterpress combination (via Neither Snow’s blog) on Rachel’s invitations and fell in love. She got into contact with Mara for the calligraphy, and the Curious & Company team for the design; the rest is history…
Letterpress has its strengths and weaknesses, and there are rules to follow in order for a design to print successfully. The folks at Curious are well aware, and I think it is pretty evident in this design.

1 color invitation, reply, and reception cards printed on 110# Lettra.

A lot of people come to me wanting a light ink printed on dark stock which isn’t really achievable with the translucent tendencies of letterpress ink. Metallic inks, however, have the opacity that others don’t, and are a great way to compromise (if you’re open to it). Dan was, and I think that his cards turned out great as a result. Take a look at his website, and give him a follow to keep up with his work!

It’s finally time to introduce the Claremont Collection; a delightfully distinctive line of letterpress printed wedding invitations from the Curious and Company team!
Here are a few sneaks of the fully customizable collection. View it in its entirety here!

Of course the line wouldn’t be complete without its very own business card! These 2 color cards were printed on 110# Pearl Lettra and cut with a custom die designed by the Curious team:
